It's bad that Lille, Porto, Napoli or Athletic Bilbao can't get in, while some of those other teams go through.

Napoli have been dreadful here, totally lost the midfield battle and pinned back in their own half, Swansea did this to them last year.

Hope they can get through somehow, otherwise Italy's CL TV money will be split 50/50 between Allegri's Allstars and the scum...

At 1:46 or so? Me. That's a penalty.

The rulebook is pretty clear; tripping or attempting to trip a player is a foul. I think you have to regard that as attempting to trip a player, rather than attempting to play the ball.

The fact that there was simulation is irrelevant. He stuck out his leg to make contact with the player rather than the ball. As soon as he does that, it's a foul.

If the Steaua player walked around that trailing leg and lost possession, it would still be a foul, yet the referee wouldn't blow.

The legislation needs to be in place for a penalty to be given in such a situation, and a yellow card to the diver.

Looks like a penalty to me as well.

Of course it's a penalty. What was Minev's leg doing there? Yeah, the Steaua player wanted that contact but there is nothing wrong in that.

The ref made some mistakes during the game but they weren't that big as some people in Bulgaria tried to explain. It's only Ludogorets' fault that they couldn't score a goal and win the game in Romania. Steaua are nothing special and can be beaten but you have to take your chances.

Napoli getting thumped 3-1 in Spain, really should be losing by 5 or 6, they've been pathetic tonight.
