What a weird race.

Webber totally f@#*s the start and drops to 6th.
Hamilton takes the lead, Button moves up to 2nd, Vettel to 3rd.
Vettel T-Bones Button and knocks him out of the race.
Vettel gets a drive through & then 5 laps later a puncture.
Looks like if Webber can pass Kubica, a 2nd position may not be that bad a result?
Sunshine, then rain, then sunshine, then rain WTF, i thought Melbourne weather was bad. Belgium takes the cake. 4 seasons in 1 day!
Strange, strange race.  :wow:

Indeed a weird and interesting race to watch.

Glad that Hamilton won tough, as he was close to hit the fence when the rain started 5-6 laps to go.

Vettel is a real jerk, he has no self control whatsoever. Pitty Janson.

All in all, after Webber butt f@#%ked the start, he's been VERY lucky & level headed in dangerous conditions to hold onto 2nd.

As i expected, there is no way the red bull could've matched McLarens pace on the Spa circuit. I expect the same in Monza. Might even put some money on either of the Force India's to podium, their straight line speed is epic.

If Webber can manage to pull a podium next week, its all in his hands when red bull hit the high speed corner circuits like Singapore, Brazil, Korea, Japan & Abu Dhabi.

CMON AUSSIE!

That was classic Spa...

Btw, I like Webber since he drove Jaguar, or maybe even Minardi  :what:
This season now or never for him...

Full support for Webber  :sciarpa05:

Would you say it's his only chance Kris?

Would you say it's his only chance Kris?

Hard to say caxinho.

Red bull were building up to a dominant car from last season. If the gap is bridged next year, with Ferarri & Mclaren coming up with a super competitive car, this may well be his only chance to have a car that is substantially better than anything else on the grid.

Renault or Mercedes may even pop up and produce a car out of the blue like Brawn did last year? you never know?

If all cars were equal or around the mark? id suggest that there are about 6 or 8 drivers who are better than Webber talent wise.

So yeah, in essence. I reckon this is his first, last & only shot.

Next season Red Bull will again be top cars in F1, as long as Newey is there...
But Vettel will be more mature and do less mistake, if Red Bull dominant again, then Vettel will outperform Webber, most definitely...

I agree with Kris there's some drivers better than Webber (talent), but he's consistent and has a good work rate... that's enough for him to win Championship this year..  :winner:

The FIA announced yesterday that no addtional punishment will be handed out to Ferrari relating to the use of team orders in the German Grand Prix. The FIA also announced that the rule itself will come under review. For the simpletons among us, which there are indeed many, Ferrari escaped because the FIA in short have basically acknowledged their rule which bans team orders is inherrently flawed if not wrong. Which is basically what I said. It is all about results. Team orders are part of Formula One and always will be. Great to see common sense prevailing. The rule was brought in when the ignorant, yet think themselves above, public cried over in Austria 2002. It has been broken in every season ever since then and now hopefully it will be gotten rid of altogether.
