I'm having a feeling Rossi is going to surprise us all this season.

Daje Alessandro :offlag:

Is he the same Rossi that joined Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid a few season ago?

Big shoes to fill from out last 9

I did notice that though, I genuinely have a pretty good feeling about him this season. He seems like he was quite sharp in preseason and in training. A goal in the opening say 5 rounds could really set his confidence up.

71 min: Finally a goal in this game! It's a scrappy one, but Lazio won't care. Candreva goes down the right of the box and fires a shot at Lobont. He saves the shot put can only push it to Lulic on the other side, who stabs the ball home to give Lazio the lead!!

I'm also happy about seeing him here. I didn't watch enough primavera or Salernitana matches to understand what type of striker he really is, but it would be useful with a strong targetman in matches where we need a late goal.

A new contract for Rossi but the prospect of another loan. It is baffling because he is now 22 and has barely featured for us yet is being kept under contract just to be loaned out ad-infinitum. If he really was going to be good enough to feature then surely he would have by now, especially with our recent lack of striker options? How long is a player considered worth continuing with when there is no sign of him breaking into the team?
