As I read today we sold 11.000 season tickets which is very low but it is also 6.000 more than the last year. So not that bad :offlag:

Dissapointing figures must admit.

Anything under 15k is a failure.

Part of the issue here I think is marketing.. or lack of.

Of course, people who were always going to get a season ticket, will do so. And those who never were, wont.
But the club needs to do more to reach out to those who are undecided.

Walk around the city and I see Roma shops, billboards advertising Roma season tickets, adverts on the sides of buses and taxis advertising Roma season tickets (with their slogan this year, "sarà bellissima") - I see very little of ours..
I have seen ours, its a picture of Ciro and Savic and the slogan "ti conviene crederci" which I think is pretty cool, but its too sparse.

As a club we have made huge strides in the last few years in this sort of area, with the launch of the TV station, radio, magazines, etc, but theres still some way to go, and something as relatively simple as a bit more widespread marketing could make a big difference.

The club made significantly more money last year from ticket sales when the Curva were boycotting the season ticket than the previous season, when we sold a plentiful amount.

Have to ask, do the club want to market the season ticket? If the season ticket actually saves fans money, the club make less money off it than they would otherwise.

Well Merda is not that far away. They sold 20.000 tickets which is 1000 more than last year. So we made bigest jump from all other clubs :bravo:

Its a gamble though. Yes, the season ticket is cheaper over the course of the season (curva is €250, tevere is €550) compared to buying individual tickets. Lets say an average of €40 a ticket in curva, is something like €760 over 19 league games.

But on the flip side, season tickets more or less gaurantee attendance, which in turn should bring in more at the stadium (food, drink etc) whereas someone who doesnt have a season ticket will probably skip games that he doesnt fancy if they are late at night or against SPAL.

My observations from my brief trip to Italy last month was that Roma was extremely present throughout the city centre (including a small shop at Termini which they must foot a ridiculous bill for, just to get visibility). Napoli had a similar shop at Napoli C.le. Roma also had a shop, possibly via Nike, on via del Corso.

Lazio needs to invest in a visible central presence, not to be a tourist club, but to at least appear we are making an effort.

Roma shops are springing up all over the place.. theres about 6 I know of, and theres 3 within 5 mins walk of my office its ridiculous.

Plus being sponsored by Nike means they get a big presence in the 2 large Nike shops, and a bigger presence than we do in any generic sport shop.
