Oh noooo, take my eyes but not Di Gennaro

Tought so ,  but this hurts us on another level, like is mentioned.

It's very likely we'll have to play 1 or 2 meaningless games in the EL group and if he's not there that's much unnecessary extra effort for our starters.  Fatigue, chance of injuries .... That's why Di Gennaro is here.

We have Crecco and Murgia

Yes i know, and that doesn't exclude having to play one of Parolo, Leiva or Sergej.
And Crecco has zero minutes on the field.

This season, he had 50 minutes and even scored a goal last season.

Good enough for playing 180 meaningless minutes, actually perfect

That was last season, this season zero yet.

And i hope he plays, otherwise another starter will have to play meaningless games.  :twinkle:

Di Gennaro was awful and I have barely seen him done good. With 3 victories secured already we can try more radical changes. We have Lukaku, Patric, Ramos, Murgia and Nani ready, that should take some load off our starters.

By the way, Radu and Lukaku are both 1.83m on wiki, although that's rarely accurate, do they have 6-7cm difference in reality?

I dont think that Di Gennaro was awful. I think he was doing a pretty good job - not amazing, but I am sure that Inzaghi was happy with his role. Thing is that he played in Cagliari more advanced and he is asked by Inzaghi to replace Leiva and cover a much larger area. And he is doing ok. I bet that if we put him next to Leiva or in front of him, he would look much more comfortable.

Anyway, not much to expect from this game - I believe that we are already qualified and a draw here would give us the number one spot. Not even sure how important that it. We could also just experiment here and give some players time to learn.

I don't think it's that Di Gennaro is missed for what he brings to the field as an individual, but rather that Luis Alberto or Leiva may have to put in another hour or two on the pitch in his absence and if anything was to happen to either of them, then we would rue Di Gennaro's absence.

Radu is listed as 183cm on the official website, Lukaku is listed as 177cm. You'd think those numbers would be accurate, but it's Lazio's official website

Lukaku is definitely smaller though, although this angle makes it seem quite extreme (but I can't find another image to embed):

It's not much of a difference to be honest, but I think when 183cm is already considered to be small, those extra centimetres can matter a lot.
