Lulic mom for me.

Good solid 3 points but we should have put in a better attitude in the first half. Sms and luis alberto oknky showed up for the last 45 and with lulicand leiva entrance we started to click. Happy for anderson, its a great weapon to have on the bench.

It didn't look all to clear at times, especially during the first half because our central midfield with Murgia as the deepest didn't find it's feet.  The long ball tactic was used to relieve pressure on Murgia in Leiva's role.  But in fact the usual formation still stood on paper.  The 3-5-1-1/3-4-2-1 hybrid was still visable.  The proposed lineup at the start wasn't correct, as it hasn't been the previous times as well when a 3-4-2-1 was presented.

The only difference was that Sergej moved up quicker with the long ball.

When Felipe replaced Alberto he moved toward the right side more as Alberto is more or less glued to the left, and Lulic infiltrated the left side while Lukaku then dropped a little deeper.

That's what this Lazio does the it's opponents this season, create chaos.  There's no straight lineup once higher then Leiva or Murgia.  Lulic, Sergej, Alberto, Felipe are all different players and once they switch or simply use more freedom during a game things go our way.

:ops: I completely forgot/wasn't aware this was an early kick off! It doesn't seem right being on a Saturday at that time! 4-0 but it seems we struggled to break through until Lukaku. It's good to get another couple of goal scorers off the mark and especially so for Anderson. It will be interesting to see if we can fit him and Alberto in the same team because it could be quite exciting in theory. Hopefully Immobile can get on another hot streak of scoring again. Were Wallace and Patric better than Bastos (I know the answer here!) and Radu? It's probably good to give Stefan a rest anyway.

I thought Patric was better than Wallace today and definitely better than Bastos, felt more relaxed with Patric there than i would with Wallace or Bastos

Wallace had few bad passes which could have caused more trouble than it did.

Crotone even started to dominate for 15min in the first half, things were looking far from good.

Wallace & Patric both had 1 or 2 shaky moments.  Patric also started to move up very high, more then needed and that created to much space in favour of Crotone.  Wallace looked good the 2nd half, he'll be finding back his way soon.  I didn't miss Bastos at any point.  Patric even came in more or less thesame position as Bastos was when making the penalty error against at Bergamo but Patric kept calm and shielded the ball out of play.  But never the less it looked visable to me a real CB would be the better option.

Strakosha also made thesame blunder like he did against Higuain at Juve, but instead of the striker hitting the crossbar Strakosha was able to correct it himself this time.  He will really have to knock that of because on another occassion it will end badly.  Tried to play out the striker under pressure, never a good idea.

100%.

I still just can't be happy with Patric at CB. He's fine in these games against lesser opponents, but he has two glaring weaknesses: His size/strength and his desire to try and get forward. The likes of Patric in the game against Atalanta last week for example would have been catastrophic: Petagna is a beast in comparison, and the likelihood of him venturing forward with a 3 man attack including Gomez would have meant we end up conceding more than we already did. Wallace - DeVrij - Radu from now on please.

Regarding our general play, our long ball tactic against a deep defensive line in the first half frustrated me to the point of anger (as it did when Italy played Sweden not too long ago). It's a tactic that I've actually very rarely seen working, and even at that it was the likes of Pirlo or Xavi making it work. Look at our third against Atalanta last week or that chance we had when Ciro shot just wide this game: we do tiki-taka in and around the box extremely well. That's exactly what we need to be doing, playing the ball around the box and then striking. Once we started actually running directly at them and playing the ball around, well that's exactly when we started scoring.

That being said, we shouldn't always try to walk the ball out of defense like we usually try to. We end up losing the ball far too much in stupidly dangerous areas. It's ok to hoof it away sometimes...

71 min: Finally a goal in this game! It's a scrappy one, but Lazio won't care. Candreva goes down the right of the box and fires a shot at Lobont. He saves the shot put can only push it to Lulic on the other side, who stabs the ball home to give Lazio the lead!!

I feel we underestimated our opponent today. I know it was big score, but we can score more n we can finish the game earllier. Attacking line, I feel irritated when our players kept delaying to shoot the ball when they had the chance in the box. Defensive line (inc Strakosha), also let them had the chance.to score. We should be more clinical upfront.

Then Marusic, this guy is really not the part of defensive line. I hope we play Basta/Patric when we have stronger opponent.

Great result, surprised to see we score 4 goals against a parking bus team at the moment. Our key players got some rest, another bench players also got more experience. I'm happy n I hope we can continue this, Forza Lazio!

Sounds like you want the result to be 7+. Well if you want that kind of score I sugest to you to go watch Spain Premiere or whatever they called their league. Real or Barca destroyed one Valencia with that kind of result and I think that Valencia would kick our asses if we faced them. About the game I cant say much becouse I was trying not to sleep becouse I just came back from training and I was tired. Thats why I don't like that early kick off. But from glimpses that I saw I must say that I'm very happy to have a healthy Anderson back. In those 15 minutes in the match he gave an assist and a goal.  :bravo:

I know I would get this kind of response, but you missed my point. Maybe I should learn to write from football italia.
