Let's lock (pre)match topic at end of match and thus send all members, by inertia, to post-match topic.

close the match topic like maybe 5 mins after ft, if you could that is

Cathal and myself discussed that from the start but there was hesitation for members who were typing posts  to add and then to find the topic closed already.

Understandable but honestly in don't see much problem in doing this now.  The concept should have sunk in by now and when a member has typed up a post it's a small thing to simply copy & paste the text into another topic.

With Cathal's approval i'd lock the first topic once unlocking the second once it's ready after the game.

Regarding Chats, I've created a channel in Discord if anyone wants to join in today for a test - I've also never used it before but it's a free and simple chat box (works in browser)

Please report back how this experiment goes (can't join tonight). I'm happy to look for a solution to the Chat as long as it does not take away from the forum (having an external Chat is not ideal).

Definitely the best solution I can think of

71 min: Finally a goal in this game! It's a scrappy one, but Lazio won't care. Candreva goes down the right of the box and fires a shot at Lobont. He saves the shot put can only push it to Lulic on the other side, who stabs the ball home to give Lazio the lead!!

Keep it as it is with both.. I never use the "live" match thread anyway so any post match discussion should be kept seperate

One thread or two, no problem for me. But if there are two threads, just make sure to lock one of it to avoid confussion about having two threads for one game.
