For Makifans Worldwide - Updates on Makigreco's season at Larissa FC!

Well, it had to happen, it was imperetive that a little corner of Laziland was dedicated to our favourite Nigerian superstar and pizza business magnate. So here it is, a topic for updates on how the goals are flying in around Greece and for general Makchat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16. ΣΤΙΒΕΝ ΜΑΚΙΝΟΥΑ (Makinoya is a great nickname don't you think!)

The Makinoya is international with national Men of Nigeria having 14 official participations from 2004 onwards.

Maki in Greece interview
"I had at least two other offers"
"I want to score as much as possible, above 10"
"It is just normal after the season for me to go back to Lazio"

Maki hard at work in training:

Out of sight but never out of our hearts :sciarpa05:

PS: I don't apologise to those who thought the joke died before it started. If you don't like it, don't read it!

The Greek Superleague got underway at the weekend with Larissa FC meeting Atromitos FC on Saturday night. Our man was in the starting line up and had the best chance of the first half - he came within inches of breaking the deadlock with his angled effort, but ultimately saw his attempt roll wide of Chrisostomos Michailidis’ goal.

Unfortunately, Maki was subbed on 66 minutes by Canobbio and so missed being involved in Larissa's goal on 77 scored by former Rangers and Hull City player Daniel Cousin. Ultimately that goal proved enough and Larissa got off to a winning start.

"I'm glad I came to Larissa. This team will give me the chance to play at a high level again, and this good for my career. It will revive it," Makinwa told the Greek media upon his arrival.

Maki's influence on the music world is growing - he is even inspiring Bosnian pop-folk singers:
Neda Ukraden - MAKI MAKI

Goran Bregovic & Ogi Radivojevic : Maki Maki

And quite unrelated, but perhaps cause for concern, it seems that Makipizza has a rival in Bulgaria using his name on it's identical business: http://www.maki.bg/en/home.html
Does he have a case for legal action, or should he be flattered by the imitation?
