SS Lazio Style Official Magazine.
« on: November 24, 2010, 03:52:50 PM »

Lazioland are extremly proud to present it's OFFICIAL cooperation with:

LAZIOSTYLE 1900 THE OFFICIAL MAGAZINE

It all started about two months ago when SS Lazio's press manager Stefano De Martino asked our Ermetico if Lazioland.com could be a part of a new official magazine about SS Lazio. Ermetico, Mr. Andersson, Weninho and Conn met up in Rome to discuss the matter and, of course, we wanted to be apart of this as it is truly an hounor for our community!

Lazioland.com is every month providing the magazine with two articles written by the Lazioland team. The Lazioland team has "free hands" in it's writing, which means that we write about what we find interesting without any control from la societa'. Under the headline "Lazioworld" in the magazine you can find our "work" written by the Lazioland team. Mr. Andersson and Weninho are in charge of the writing and pic selection  with the expert help from Conn and Caxi.
Ermetico? He is always the boss and the one who communicates with the societa'.
The articles and stories are written from the inspiration our members here at the forum provide and the passion you have for la Lazio and for this community!

Once again, we want to underline how proud we are at this day and what the forum has achieved.
It is an achivement created by the whole community and an expression for our unique passion and love!

Forza Lazio!
Forza Lazioland!

I can understand it is quite hard to see what is written, so here we go:

Laziali from Singapore meets the Italian Ambassador

Two months ago in Singapore, a group of Lazio supporters had the pleasure to meet the Italian ambassador Mr. Felicani in his office at the Italian Embassy.
A special meeting with a real gentleman full of Lazialitá and incredible surprises.

Three laziali(Nigel, Darran and Stefano) from the “Singapore Lazio Supporters Group” and Lazioland.com first meet the ambassador at an Italian restaurant during the World Cup. They all started talking and soon it was clear that also the ambassador was a laziale and that Mr. Felicani had a special story to tell.
In the middle of August the three laziali came to his office for a meeting they never will forget.
Mr. Felicani welcomed the laziali and was described by the friends as “handsome, very humble, extremely friendly as well as very knowledgeable and passionate about la Lazio”.

Mr. Felicani gathered the friends around his desk and took out his father’s old photo album. The friends became excited and almost lost their breath as Mr. Felicani proudly showed photo after photo of his father. There were photos of Renzo Felicani as a young man in the Lazio shirt, in the military uniform when serving as an artillery officer during the war and photos of him when he returned and played for Lazio after the war. Especially one photo got the friends attention: A photo of all the players and their signatures at it. One of the signatures belonged to Silvio Piola, the greatest striker of all in the history of il calcio. It is also worth mentioning that Renzo Felicani had an uncle, Pietro Felicani, a striker who used to play for Lazio in the early years of the club.

Mr. Felicani expressed that he wanted to become a member of the “Singapore Lazio Supporters Group” and he gave the friends a special present: A Lazioshirt from the 1930’s seasons! In return he received a Lazio scarf with text written in Chinese, a scarf that was made by the fans before the SuperCoppa Italia final in Beijing. The ambassador also received and was impressed by the articles from Corriere dello Sport after Lazioland.com’s “message invasion” during its “Save la Lazio” campaign.

This story is not only a story of true Lazio passion. It is a story of three young laziali, living in a foreign country far way from Rome with few opportunities to watch their heroes who defines all odds and supports the team in every way they can.
It is a story that proves that Lazio is a faith without boarders!

Lazialitá: The Jakarta connection

Lazio's Fernando Muslera and Alvaro Gonzalez received a warm welcome upon arrival at Jakarta International Airport for Uruguay's international friendly against Indonesia.

Due to the cooperation between LazioLand Feverforum and Lazioindonesia.com, about 100 Indonesian Laziali inherited information about Fernando and Alvaro's flight routes and were able to organize a mass gathering and what a special gathering it proved to be.

Once the players had arrived at the airport, the group welcomed them with a banner.  It read:

"Welcome to Indonesia, Nando Muslera and Alvaro Gonzalez. From Indonesian Laziali."

The congregation shouted their names and arranged for photos to be taken. They also handed the players a scarf that had been created specifically for Indonesian Laziali.

A smiling Muslera was in the center for most of the chants and appeared to be genuinely surprised. Even Alvaro Gonzalez was smiling and waving to the crowd who at one point began to sing "Non Mollare Mai."

One of the members present at the meeting, "adrianlaziale" on Laziofever, described his feelings after seeing Muslera waving his hands to salute the group during a practice session the next day:

"Maybe for all of you, Nando waving his hand is just an ordinary thing but that’s because you can see him in Rome every week. For us, it was really amazing and interesting."

For four days, this group dedicated their time to being as close as possible to their heroes and to make them feel at home. On the matchday, they were all together and got to watch Alvaro Gonzalez in the second half, while Muslera didn’t feature.

It is safe to say that the Indonesian Laziali gave the Lazio duo a memory that they will most probably cherish for the rest of their lives.
