I never said that did I. But I am 100% sure that this thread would never have been created if that Inter game had finished 2-2

If they fork out 70 millions for Cancelo and Rafinha would probably face something like restriction of squad of even competition ban.

They need something like 150 to 200 millions to refurbish that team and allow Spalletti to arrive top 4 next season while not collecting kicks from right and left in CL. Given that they will be in pot 4, highly likely.

Right, since they needed Lazio to hand them 4th spot this season without playing in Europe it's highely unlikely they could reach CL while playing CL.

If they pay up for those 2 during the summermercato they will indeed by far not reach FFP parameters and get into real trouble to even compete next season.

Like already said, Inter is again going to be an interesting soap this summer.  And then we are going to be entertained by Milan as well.

Abel Hernandez will be free agent through couple of days.

Still capable and holds a decent value to become a free agent.

Because if we had finished 4th no one would be crying conspiracy, they would be too busy celebrating Champions League and guessing who Tare is going to spend the millions on

If you think that CL is more important than the treatment Lazio gets in Italy then you're very wrong my friend, at least for me. Like I said before, I couldn't care less about the CL. The money I would take, but as a competition it's not appealing to me.

I gotta disagree with you there Cathal. Yes youíre right when you say the refeering got better towards the end of the season, but when you lose out on CL by the smallest margin possible and know you would have made it had an opponent not been allowed to score a goal with the arm..well Iím sorry but I canít help but feel we got robbed..

You simply can't though. We didn't lose CL qualification because of Torino or Fiorentina etc. We lost it because we failed to beat Atalanta, Crotone or Inter, it's that simple.

That's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is that we should have gotten one point from the Milan away match, but we got 0 because the team of referees allowed Crutone to score with his arm.

I don't recall us winning any matches this season by being allowed to score with an arm. Tell me of a match this season where we won by scoring the winning goal after a horrendous error by the referee.

Sometimes people say these poor decisions even out during the cause of a season. That might be true for some teams, but certainly not for us this season.

With a bunch of neutral or more competent referees this season, we'd be playing CL next season.

Look, I'm not saying we didn't get a fair share of bad decisions, we did. However, we also had 3 chances to seal CL qualification against teams below us in the league, and even without referee interference we failed to do it.

Why are you guys making this out to be about CL? Doesn't matter where we finish if there are always lost points due to refs.
